Hicks Ventures and Cobalt Medical Development began construction in December 2016 on the Cobalt Rehabilitation Hospital in El Paso, Texas located directly across the street from The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus . The new Rehab Hospital will serve the unmet local bed need for patients who have experienced sports injuries, motorcycle or auto injuries, head injuries, stroke, spinal cord injury, hip and knee replacements, amputees, and other related injuries. The facility includes a 12 bed Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, and Parkinson’s Center of Excellence, and the facility is designed with upscale, hotel-like amenities which create a non-hospital like atmosphere that fosters faster healing. The Hospital raises the standard for inpatient services by providing all private patient rooms with spacious bathrooms, as well as separate living quarters for extended length of stay patients and their visitors.
